Innovation Programs

.

Innovations shape the future of every organisation—public, private, or non-profit.

Over the last 12 years, I have designed, implemented, and advised innovation programmes across Asia, Latin America, and Africa - ranging from hackathons and policy labs to large-scale innovation facilities that include entrepreneurs and impact ventures from around the world.

My focus areas

  • From internal idea competitions to global programs: I advise on the selection criteria, promotion mechanisms, governance frameworks and other core aspects for a successful and strategic program design.

  • Bringing innovative projects to scale requires rethinking strategy and organisation. I accompany projects and funds in their journey to scale across new sectors, markets or functional areas, and help to balance a clear strategic focus with flexible adaptation.

  • With a decade of experience in sustainable development, I advise projects on how to balance the social, environmental or climate impact goals with a sound business model. My specialisation are innovations based on digital technologies.

Recent clients and experiences

  • Modern building with multiple floors featuring curved architectural design and extensive green landscaping including grass, shrubs, and plants on each level.

    Green & Digital innovation facility

To strengthen digital and green innovation ecosystems across Africa, the project designs a new funding facility addressing the gap in climate-positive, scalable tech solutions. My role focuses on aligning projects with sustainability goals and advising on digital business models and emerging tech trends.

    Alliance for AI-based innovation

Public-private collaboration is key to reap the potentials of Artificial Intelligence technologies in East Africa. To strengthen regional AI capacities, I supported the design of the East African Community (EAC) AI Skills & Innovation Alliance—aimed at fostering cross-border collaboration in research, innovation, and policy. The alliance promotes integration of AI into higher education and stronger academia-industry linkages.

    University-Industry AI "Living Labs"

Living Labs are an innovative approach for structured collaboration between universities and industry across Germany and Asia. Within the project, I advised on how they can be leveraged to serve as joint experimentation and learning environments where innovations can be tested, responsible AI practices applied, and curricula aligned with labor-market needs. The approach strengthens international innovation partnerships while supporting inclusive participation, knowledge transfer, and talent and education mobility.
